Savuto - Controlled Designation of Origin D.O.C.
Type: Rosé Wine Unoaked (not barrel-aged)
Color: Intense pink, luminous with some ruby flashes
Aroma: Scents of fresh flowers "rose and broom" and spicy aromas
Taste: A fruity wine with elegant acidity and a long aromatic persistence
Serving temperature: Excellent at 12/16°c
Food pairings: At the table, it offers enviable versatility, allowing for extremely balanced and interesting food and wine pairings: from various appetizers to cured meats and cheeses, from pasta with sardines to crostini with mushrooms, from fish soups to richly seasoned and flavored roasted fish, from vegetable-based preparations to rich gratins like "Calabrian parmigiana"
Vinification: The grapes are harvested around the beginning of October and after careful manual selection, they are gently pressed and left to ferment in horizontal macerators at a controlled temperature for 5 to 10 hours in contact with the pomace. Subsequently, they are gently pressed, followed by cold static decantation of the must and removal of coarse lees.
Aging: After bottling, it rests for another sixty days in the bottle.
